Birthing with Awe is not just any birthing class, we are much more. Our desire to teach and empower couples to have the birth they want is at the core of what we do. We want you to know that you have a voice and choices in several aspects of pregnancy, labor and delivery. We are ready and excited to join you on this journey and look forward to helping you to achieve the goals you want to achieve through pregnancy, childbirth and recovery. We offer education that empower couples on their own journey to an amazing birth as well as supporting new moms with postpartum services to lighten the load of that “fourth” trimester.

Prenatal Education Classes
In Birth Boot Camp classes, you and your partner will learn what you need to know to prepare you for labor, birth, and postpartum. You will learn how to work together as a couple, gather your birth team, stay healthy through diet & exercise, how to care for your newborn, and much, much more! We have a lot of fun in class and I look forward to helping you prepare for your little darling! See full curriculum.
- Everyone deserves a quality childbirth class. Please don’t let finances prohibit you from investing in your birth. Payment plans can be arranged. Prior to registering, contact me to discuss options.
- Private classes available if posted class schedule (day of the week) conflicts with your “life” schedule. Contact me to discuss cost & availability.
COMPREHENSIVE CLASS(10 sessions)
- If you desire an unmedicated birth, are first-time parents, or are preparing for a VBAC, this class will prepare you on all levels – physically, mentally, and emotionally.
- This is our flagship class, which covers deliver in a hospital, at a birthing center or at home ; as well as nutrition, breastfeeding, physical training, comfort measures and more.
- Workbook included. Class time: 20 hours, typically taught over ten 2-hour sessions.
- The cost of the class includes the full-color field manual, Breastfeeding: the Ultimate MRE download code, weekly emails with additional reading.
- Classes held in The Woodlands.
OUT-OF-HOSPITAL (4 Sessions)
- If you are planning to have your baby at home or at a freestanding birth center, this class will give you the nuts and bolts of labor.
- Learn what happens before, during, and after birth, as well as variations of labor and birth videos. Workbook included.
- Class time: 8 hours, typically broken up into four 2 hour sessions.
- Classes are held at various locations in North Houston & The Woodlands.
EXPRESS CLASS (Two 3-hour sessions)
- This two-day course for all birthing locations is intended for those that want a good class but don’t have a lot of time to put into it.
- Couples will have a good idea of what to expect in a normal labor, along with some effective coping tools.
- If they opt for an epidural or have a cesarean, they won’t be blindsided by what is happening.
- There is a break set for the middle of class for lunch/dinner if doing the class in one day.
Postpartum Services
A postpartum doula can help a new mother recover quicker from labor at the same time provide the care a new born needs. We offer a variety of services to help a young mother back on her feet. The following are just some of the things a certified postpartum doula can help with.

- Preparations of bottles and washing/cleaning/sterilizing
- Folding laundry
Doula Benefits
- Increase chance of breastfeeding successfully.
- Increase earlier bonding between the infant and birthing person and the whole family unit.
- Less chance of infant dehydration and hospitalization with health difficulties due to skilled care.
- A reduced amount of maternal postpartum depression and shorter duration and more manageable for the parents to cope with it if it occurs.

- More of an understanding of newborn emotional and physical needs and behavior.
Postpartum Doula Packages
4 hour shifts, 2-3 days a week. 50% paid at signing of contract and other 50% paid after first half has been worked.
